One of the oldest Indian Budget Hotels in Mussoorie, started around 1940 in a prime and commanding location (Kulri Bazar, The Mall) of the main town of Mussoorie.
The entire property was owned by the famous Bankers of the area – M/s Mansa Ram & Sons,and run as a premier lodging house of the area by the present management since 1954. Later had to be sub-divided into residential(Summer House) and hotel(Amar Hotel) area due to Court Auction.

Owned by (Late )Shri M.N.Mehrotra & family, the property is situated just above the Mall Road at a distance of less than 200 metres from the Bus/taxi Terminus and Govt. Parking. The huge open terrace roof(4000 sq.ft) commands an excellent panoramic view of the highest peak of Mussoorie -Lal Tibba and the snow clad Himalayan ranges beyond.

Presently the hotel comprises of 22 well appointed rooms completely renovated with modern bathrooms, running hot and cold water (as per the availability ), cable TV, intercom etc. The hotel is very popular amongst the regular visitors, mostly from the middle class and upper middle class who want to enjoy their stay in a reasonable budget in a destination which is full of expensive hotels offering similar facilities.

The best eating places in town – Green(Vegetarian ), My Shop (Mughlai), Kelsang (Authentic Tibetan & Chinese), Dominos, Chic Chocolate, Lovely Omellete, Inder’s Bengali are within a radius of 100 metres.

The famous Camel’s Back Road with its old nostalgic charm, The Skating Rink, Kulri Slope Bazar, All Banks, ATMs are almost adjoining the hotel .
